Meet the band

Charlie Drake was born in the home of the blues,  Memphis, TN. He spent most of his childhood dreaming of singing and playing guitar; from being in diapers drooling on a six string to playing in church as a teenager. Charlie was raised on the words of country and rock & roll and became determined to find his way into the local music scene where he could learn the business and hone his skills as a singer. Fast forward to present day; Charlie (who is now 24) stands as the front man for WSL? and looks back on his past realizing that this is what he was made for. Charlie often comments on how thankful and blessed he is. He now lives happily with his family in Hueytown, AL.

Chuck started playing bass at age of 15 in his high school jazz band. Since then playing bass has allowed him to tour across the U.S. and Europe. He also loves writing music and has been instrumental in the writing of several of the original songs that WSL? has recorded.

Coming from a family of working musicians, it seemed that Kevin was exposed to music even before he was born. He took up drums at the early age of 7 and even then it was apparent that Kevin had a beat in his soul that he just had to move with. He started playing dance halls, rodeos, and a few clubs with his parents when he just 14. Since then Kevin has played with a host of other acts and opened for the likes of Jessica Andrews, Darrel Worley, and John Michael Montgomery. Later in life, he attended Snead State Community College on a full jazz band scholarship as a music major along with a partial Jazz Ensemble scholarship at JSU as a music (jazz studies) minor. Kevin joined WSL? in November of 2016, bringing along with him his background of metal, rock, funk, blues, and country drumming. Kevin plays Pearl drums, Zildjian & Sabian cymbals, and Remo & Aquarian drumheads.
